Items of Interest from the Goldenwood West POA Office
February 1, 2011
2011 Budget
The 2011 Budget Letter from the Board of Trustees is now available, along with the 2011 Budget (click on each title). Dues will increase to $25 per lot per month. This change is effective in this month’s statements; because the POA office bills one month in arrears, January 2011 dues are billed on February 1, 2011.
The Board Welcomes Paul Laird
The Board of Trustees welcomes APC member Paul Laird as the Board of Trustees’ Member at Large. Paul has served on the APC for the last two years and has resigned his duties on the APC in order to serve on the Board. The Board appointed Paul to the open Board seat at the January 17, 2011 BOT meeting, his term will run until the next Board of Trustees election at the November Annual Meeting. Thanks to Paul for his continuing years of service to the neighborhood.
APC Member Needed
The Architectural & Protective Committee (APC) is looking for one property owner volunteer to fill a vacancy on the committee. The APC reviews plans for property improvements and maintains the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of Goldenwood West. Our covenants allow for a three member committee but sub-committee members or auxiliary members are always welcome. Our APC and Board of Trustees are made up of volunteers from the neighborhood; your involvement and input is essential to the management of our association. If you are interested in joining the committee, please attend the next APC Meeting on February 10, 2011 at 6:30 PM at the pavilion or contact the Administrator.
Two New Welcome Committee Volunteers
Thanks to Susan Ruthenbeck and Anne Danish for volunteering to serve on the Welcome Committee. If you would be interested in helping Susan and Anne welcome new property owners with a phone call or visit, please contact the Administrator.
Neighborhood E-mail Network
Property owner and former Board member Margaret Paine serves as the webmaster for the neighborhood’s website and also maintains the neighborhood e-mail network along with property owner and former Board member Rick Bondurant. The e-mail network informs property owners of local events and news, Neighborhood Watch alerts, lost pets, snake sightings, water outages etc. If you are not already receiving neighborhood e-mails and would like to, please email your request.
e-Statement Program
This month’s statements, the 2011 Budget Letter and Budget, and the 02/01/2011 “Items of Interest” from the POA office are being sent to 72 GWW property owners through e-mail. This service is saving the POA money on paper, ink and postage. To date, the e-Statement Program sends monthly e-mails which include a statement of account, the new gate code to the pool and tennis court if changing, the monthly Items of Interest if published and any notices or messages from the GWW Board of Trustees and POA office. To sign up for the e-Statement Program and opt out of regular mail mailings from the POA office, please contact the administrator.
