TRI Neighborhood Watch Meeting – Saturday, May 16th at the Pavilion (time to be announced)

In response to the recent burglaries in our neighborhood and Goldenwood, the three neighborhoods or Goldenwood West, Goldenwood & Radiance are planning a TRI Neighborhood Watch Meeting with the Hays County Sheriff’s Department to discuss neighborhood security. The meeting will be held on May 16th at the Goldenwood West Pavilion, time to be determined. When the time of the meeting is confirmed, it will be posted at the mail station and will also be distributed to the Neighborhood Watch email list (you may sign up for NW emails at gww@zpgraphic.com). All property owners are invited to attend the meeting. The Board thanks those who have offered security suggestions including “no soliciting” signs at the entrance and security cameras and reminds everyone to please keep your vehicles and homes locked and call the Sheriff’s Department at 512-393-7896 is you see anything unusual in our neighborhood.

Potluck Success

Jan Greening and Vanessa Kolar from the Potluck Committee organized and hosted our first neighborhood potluck of the year. Eighteen neighbors from eight addresses attended. Special thanks go to Jan and Vanessa for organizing and hosting this community building event, Paul Laird for power washing the tables and pavilion floors and Vanessa Kolar's sons for helping to sweep the area. The attendees answered a survey and the majority expressed interest in having potlucks once a quarter (three per year, April -November) and also having some entertainment, many mentioning music. In response, plans are underway for our next gathering, perhaps a breakfast/brunch on a Saturday morning in late July or early August.
