Information about the Neighborhood Directory can be downloaded here.

Burn Ban info To learn whether a burn ban is currently in effect for GWW, call the Hays County Sheriff's Department at 512-393-7896. Before burning brush in your yard call the Sheriff's department to notify them you're conducting a controlled burn. For guidelines on safe burning, download guidelines from the Hays County Fire Marshal.

All residents should study our volunteer fire department's Fire Safe Landscaping guidelines here. These recommendations may save your home, and those of your neighbors, in the event of serious fire danger.

Please do not tresspass: Residents are advised that power easements are private property, so these areas are not open for public hiking, biking, riding off-road vehicles, etc. The power easements are the strips of land under the power lines which run through several properties at the back of our neighborhood. In the past, children and adults have used these cleared areas for recreation because they didn't realize the land was private. These property owners request that folks please respect their privacy by not tresspassing in their back yards.

In order for emergency services to quickly locate a residence, our local Driftwood Volunteer Fire Department requests that all residents properly identify their street address, preferably using the Hays County standardized reflective house number sign. A sign may be obtained from the County for $3.00. A form for ordering the sign is available for download here.

Water hardness index number (for residents with a programmable water softener): 33.6 grains

Phone in or post information on lost or found pets to area veterinarians.
People frequently post lost/found notices in vet waiting rooms

Landscape Improvement in public areas Benefactors wishing to donate to our Landscape Improvement fund may obtain a Sponsorship form here. The completed form, along with donation, should be placed into the GWW POA dropbox at the mailstation. Sponsors will be acknowlegded in the newsletter and on the website, unless they request otherwise.
